TALL WOOD BUILDINGS

We’re honoured that HomeGround has been featured in the latest edition of Tall Wood Buildings, a beautiful publication by Michael Green and Jim Taggart, published by Birkhäuser.

Tall Wood Buildings has long been recognised as a leading international resource on the use of mass timber in contemporary architecture. The book explores how tall timber construction is reshaping sustainable building practice in urban environments, documenting projects around the world that exemplify innovation and environmental responsibility.

Now in its third and expanded edition, the publication includes detailed case studies—complete with specially prepared construction drawings—illustrating panel, frame, and hybrid structural systems. With mass timber buildings now reaching heights of up to 25 storeys and 87 metres, this global trend continues to redefine how cities build sustainably.

We’re proud to see HomeGround included among these significant works, reflecting its contribution to advancing sustainable architecture and demonstrating the potential of mass timber construction in complex urban contexts.
